PROFESSOR EXCELLENCE
The
Video Professor products have successfully taught
millions of customers how to effectively use
computers. While happy customers give rave reviews of
the distance learning system, the company has received
many awards from organizations that also recognize the
excellence in Video Professor. The
“What-You-See-Is-What-You-Do” teaching method has been
efficiently educating individuals for roughly 20
years, Video
Professor has been acknowledged for outstanding
film and video production, as well as marketing and
communication creativity.
The
Video Professor creative services and production
teams are the recipients of two MarCom Creative Awards
for outstanding achievement by marketing and
communication professionals. The well deserved honors
were bestowed upon the teams that are responsible for
the famous
Video Professor commercials and packaging. When one
thinks of commercials or infomercials, one of the very
first things that comes to mind is John Scherer discussing
his product and how it can help anyone learn to use
computers.
The highest honor was given to the creative services and
production teams for the “Learn eBay” commercial. This
60-second clip was rewarded with a Platinum Award in the
Television/Single spot category. In the Design/Packaging
category, the
Video Professor’s “Internet Security” tutorial
packaging picked up a Gold Award. Worth noting is that the
“Internet Security” tutorial single CD was additionally
bestowed with an honorable mention in the
design/illustration/graphic design category.
The MarCom Creative Awards are given by the Association of
Marketing & Communication Professionals to marketing
and communication professionals who are central in the
conception, writing, and design of marketing and
communication programs and print, as well as audio and
visual materials. The vast variety of entrants and winners
acts as a testament to the significance of these honors.
Recently, entrants have included corporate marketing and
communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms,
design shops, production companies, and freelancers. The
competition has also grown to become one of the largest of
its kind, with winners hailing from individual
communicators to Fortune 500 companies.
The
Video Professor has also won numerous Aurora
Awards three years in a row for excellence in film and
video production. The “Learn How to Buy and Sell on
eBay” tutorial garnered a Platinum Best of Show Award
in the Technology/Computer Training category, and was
bestowed upon the company’s in-house production team.
In the same category, the “Learn Wireless Networking,”
“Learn the Internet with the AOL Service,” and “Learn
How to Buy and Sell on eBay” tutorial lessons all
earned Gold Awards. This is the third year in a row
that Video Professor has been a recipient of Aurora
Awards and past honors have included Best of Show.
These awards designate people in the film and video
industries who have proven the ability to captivate and awe
their audiences with their products and skills and hail
from private and corporate production groups, advertising
agencies, and television stations. The Aurora Awards
attempts to provide recognition to programs, CD ROMs, and
commercials that would not otherwise have the opportunity
to compete on an international level through an
international competition for excellence in the film,
video, and multimedia industries. The Aurora Awards has
grown to massive proportions receiving entries from every
state in the United States, as well as Canada, Hong Kong,
Denmark, and Mexico among others.
